OOONA Launches Toolkit Tours Series

OOONA successfully launched a new webinar series focused on its professional suite of tools for video localization production work.

The first live event held August 6th, had high registration with participation from a variety of industry professionals around the world, including broadcasters, LSPs and freelancers.

Alex Yoffe, OOONA’s Product Manager for the company’s popular Toolkit, guided attendees through the demo, showcasing the most popular tools:

• Create & Translate – for creating and editing timed-text subtitles in any language.
• Review – for reviewing, editing, and QC of subtitles and captions.
• Transcribe – for creating script files and dialogue lists.
• Audio description – for editing AD scripts and recording them in the cloud or by using synthetic speech technology.
• Compare – an intuitive online tool to compare two subtitle files side by side, including timing, text, style, and positioning.
• Subtitle Converter – the most comprehensive tool in the market to convert from and into over 70 subtitle and caption file formats.

This first Toolkit Tour provided a general overview of the toolkit, highlighting various popular functionalities, such as support for Japanese subtitle formatting, audio description recording, and more. The presentation concluded with a quick snapshot of the localization management workflow in OOONA Integrated, our flagship solution for the management of media localization workflows which includes a full integration of all OOONA’s tools for the completion of respective tasks by machine or human resources.
