This hands-on online course is designed for beginners and aspiring audiovisual translators looking to develop essential subtitling skills using OOONA Tools. Whether you’re new to subtitling or have some experience but no formal training, this course provides step-by-step guidance to help you navigate the software and create high-quality subtitles quickly and efficiently.
The course provides an overview of the OOONA Toolkit, timed-text structure and file settings, toolbar functionality and hotkeys, supported video formats, file imports/exports and backups. You will learn how to create, translate and edit subtitles, make timecode changes and range actions, use tags, quality check your file and make fixes.
By the end of the course, you will have a strong foundation in working with the OOONA Create and Translate Tools so you can confidently start working on subtitling projects.
