Rosário Valadas Vieira, a passionate AV translator with over thirty years of experience in AVT, started her professional career in Asia, Macau, in the 80s. She then relocated back to Portugal in 1988 to work for the TV channel RTP.

She founded Sintagma in 1993, a Lisbon-based audiovisual company with a Sound Studio. Rosário translates from English, Spanish, and Italian into Portuguese and teaches Media Translation – Subtitling in Lisbon University and in private training courses at Sintagma.
