This course will teach you the art and technique of Audio Description, a standard access service for feature films and series on streaming services, television and the cinema, often offered in multiple languages.

Through an engaging mix of history, theory and hands-on exercises, you will explore the Four Fundamentals of Audio Description © and sharpen your skills in visual literacy. You will learn to edit what you observe and make the images come alive through the spoken word by using vivid language.

Whether you are an aspiring describer, a media professional or simply someone who is passionate about accessibility and wants to heighten their observational skills, this course will equip you with the tools to make media more inclusive, engaging and meaningful.
