This course offers a comprehensive introduction to scientific and technical translation, as well as audiovisual translation (AVT), with a focus on subtitling.
Participants will explore the role of translators in specialized fields, working with scientific texts and videos, and understanding market demands. The program also covers tools such as OOONA Create & OOONA Burn & Encode to learn how to provide a professional subtitling service.
Additionally, students will gain hands-on experience in subtitling technical videos, including an overview of vertical formats, while acquiring strategies for quoting, corpus creation and online resources.
